Spruce-fir Trail located off of Newfound Gap Rd on Clingmans Dome Road the trail is .35 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 25' with a easy trail rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. A virtually flat walking trail that is perfect for those that want to get out and enjoy the outdoors with a hike that is not challenging or overwhelming. The short stroll through the spruce-fir forest with red spruce, Fraser firs, yellow birch, mountain-ash, hobblebush, and blackberries as some of the foliage that you will be able to see up close on the trail.
