Mt. LeConte Hiking Trail from Boulevard Trail
Mt. LeConte Hiking Trail located off of Newfound Gap Road is 15.6 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 3000' with a strenuous difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. The summit of Mt. Leconte is extremely well known for the magnificent view from 6593' it is the third highest peak looking out over the Great Smoky Mountains and offers steep climbs, rocky terrain, and a long distance that is a good challenge even for an experienced hiker. The trail from Boulevard Trail has you climbing up and down and back up again several times making for a great workout along the way to your destination. Near the top of the trail is LeConte Lodge and overnight cabins that can be reserved.
