Mt. Cammerer Hiking Trail
Mt. Cammerer Hiking Trail located in the Cosby Area Camp Ground off of Highway 32 the trail is 12 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 2470' with a strenuous difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. Start off from the campground section B from the backside accessing Low Gap Trailhead to reach the junction of Mt. Cammerer Trail. The steep trail has several switchbacks going through the old hardwood forest area, grassy ridges, and resting areas with views of Cosby Valley, Snake Den Ridge, and Inadu Knob before reaching the 4928-foot summit with an amazing view of Pigeon River Gorge.
