Brushy Mountain Hiking Trail
Brushy Mountain Hiking Trail located in the Cosby Area off of Greenbrier Road the trail is 11.7 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 3000' with strenuous difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. Start your hike out on Porters Creek Trailhead which begins as a gravel path that leads through a forest area following Porters Creek and passing the remnants of a old farmstead from the early 1900's. Brushy Mountain Trail climbs up the northern flanks of Mt. LeConte reaching a small semi-circular clearing at the summit providing an eastern view of the Smoky Mountains.
