Dollywood’s Splash Country is planning to unveil the park’s crown achievement in the summer of 2013. The wildly successful water park’s latest project is a cutting-edge electromagnetic waterslide. The new attraction is based on a design on a successful HydroMagnetic Rocket water coaster. The technology uses state-of-the art motors engineered to create an electromagnetic field strong enough to propel the rafts uphill. The Titanic Pigeon Forge Museum will be hosting its 3rd annual ice carving competition on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. World famous ice sculptors will be given 250-pound blocks of ice to turn into incredible creations and compete for prize money.
