Dollywood on The History Channel

Downtown Gatlinburg is not the only area of town to catch the eye of a popular television network. As you may remember, our beloved Pigeon Forge amusement park, Dollywood, was featured on The History Channel’s popular show American Pickers earlier this year.

The show’s hosts, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, were tasked with searching through the entire country to find the most-unique fireman memorabilia they could find. All of the items that they ‘picked’ are now on display at Dollywood’s newest roller coaster, FireChaser Express.

The name of the show was Mad as a Picker, and it originally aired on May 7, 2014.
