You also don’t have to wear a swimsuit! The Blue Cyclone is the largest water slide with a blackout tunnel. Shoot the Chute sends you flying down the slide into a splash pool, and The Lightnin’ Water Ride is open with built-in dips to really get your adrenaline going!
3. Ride a Mountain Coaster
Since it’s usually beautiful out during the summer, you’ll want to spend even more time outside by riding a mountain coaster! The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster will have you flying through the trees or taking a leisurely ride through the woods, depending on how fast you go! At this coaster attraction, you’ll get to control the speed on your cart. Another great coaster is at Rowdy Bear Mountain, where you can control your coaster cart. Hillbilly Golf is another fun outdoor mini golf course in Gatlinburg. You’ll ride to the top of the course that is located on the side of the mountain in a train car. At the top, choose between two courses, and be sure to keep an eye out for moonshine stills!
6. Walk the SkyTrail at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park
If you’re looking for things to do in Gatlinburg TN this summer, you have to walk around the SkyTrail at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park. This portion of the adventure park opened in spring of 2021. This wooden walkway follows the ravine where the SkyBridge sits. You will get to enjoy mountain views as you walk, and at the back of the ravine, there is The Lookout, a steel tower where you can enjoy even more views. After The Lookout is the section called The Pathway, which provides you with even more mountain views and connects to the other side of the SkyBridge. Your whole family will love exploring at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park!
