1. Gatlinburg Golf Course
Although its name may suggest otherwise, Gatlinburg Golf Course is actually located in Pigeon Forge! This gorgeous 18 hole course is situated right next door to Dollywood, making it the perfect place to hit the links before visiting the theme park. Gatlinburg Golf Course is open year round and offers magnificent scenery in any season.
Visitors to Gatlinburg Golf Course will find beautifully manicured greens, gorgeous wooded views, and plenty of challenging hills and valleys. The course’s most famous hole is #12, which has been nicknamed “Sky Hi” by the locals. With a 200 ft. drop between the tee and the green, Sky Hi is one of the most unique holes in the nation.
2. River Islands Golf Club
Located in Kodak, TN, River Islands Golf Club is a hidden gem in the Smokies! This incredible 175-acre course is bordered by the French Broad River and features breathtaking knolls and valleys. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, as bald eagles have been known to fly overhead and otters frequent the river.
River Islands was designed by Arthur Hills to be enjoyable for golfers of every ability. Anyone who wants to sharpen their skills will find a great practice facility at River Islands, and certified PGA instruction is available. It’s easy to see why River Islands is one of the very best golf courses near Gatlinburg TN.
3. Sevierville Golf Club
The Sevierville Golf Club boasts two of the most popular golf courses near Gatlinburg TN: “The Highlands” and “The River”. The Highlands is a par 70 course that is reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands, with its rolling hills and picturesque ponds. The River is a par 72 course that is hugged by the Little Pigeon River, Sevier County’s most iconic body of water. If you can’t choose between the two courses, we recommend playing both of them!
In addition to these two incredible 18 hole courses, The Sevierville Golf Club also offers a great pro shop, a wonderful driving range, a large putting green, and a chipping area. If you get hungry during your golf outing, be sure to stop by the onsite Mulligan’s Restaurant, which serves great food from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
