Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park Opens

The Gatlinburg SkyLift celebrated its big reopening in May of 2017. Since then, they’ve been working on lighting and other renovations to make the experience even better. Now, visitors can enjoy the SkyBridge, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America! The bridge stretches 680 feet across, and features glass floor panels in the middle of the span so you can stand and look below you. At 1 p.m. on May 17, the SkyBridge opened to the public! When you get to the top of the Gatlinburg SkyLift, you don’t want to miss the chance to cross the bridge. You can walk across at your own pace, taking time to admire the scenery. Take a look at what you can expect when you walk across the Gatlinburg SkyBridge:

Gatlinburg SkyDeck Now Open

You’ll step off the lift at the top onto the SkyDeck, which has an expansive viewing deck, outdoor seating areas, a cafe, a bar, and a gift shop. Whether you’re eating lunch or taking in the scenic views from a rocking chair, you’ll love spending as much time as you want on the SkyDeck before riding the lift back down.
