Another Record Breaking Number of Visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in 2018!
According to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park’s latest report, the park had more than 11.4 million visitors this year compared to 11,338,894 last year. Park officials attribute the increase to the new section of the Foothills Parkway that was completed in November. The Foothills Parkway welcomed nearly 200,000 visitors in November and December. 2018 is the fourth year in a row the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has seen a record number of visitors.
