The Old Mill Square

For almost two centuries, the Old Mill, along the banks of The Little Pigeon River, has provided much needed flour and meal to the communities of Sevier County, Tennessee. One of the most popular places in the Smokies – the Old Mill – listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is one of the most photographed mills in the country.

At the mill, you can watch water powered French Buhrs grind the meal and flour or explore the Old Mill Square; a complex of restaurants, pottery, bakery and craft shops where you can see pottery being thrown or bread and candy being made. The Old Mill Square features two restaurants, The Old Mill Restaurant and The Old Mill Pottery House Café and Grille. If you’re in the mood for shopping, check out The Old Mill Farmhouse Kitchen, The Old Mill Pigeon River Pottery, or The Old Mill Candy Kitchen. For children’s toys and gifts, be sure to visit The Old Mill Toy Bin. Located at the Old Mill, The Old Mill General store offers fresh ground grains and a wide variety of flours. At the Old Mill General Store, you’ll also find the homemade jams, jellies, salad dressings, and specialty mixes that make the Mill famous. Stop by The Old Mill and The Old Mill Square to view a piece of Pigeon Forge and Smoky Mountain history!
