A Bed and Breakfast for Your Next Mountain Stay?

Usually when I travel, I stay in a hotel. And that’s
probably true for most travelers. But when I can, I like to find a bed and
breakfast for a different perspective of the area. Lots of times, a B&B is
an old farmhouse, or historic building, with a more intimate feel and a chance
to get to know the owners and the other visitors. We’ve got several in Sevier
County, and this time, we’re going to look at the
Blue Mountain Mist Bed and Breakfast
and Cottages.

Located in Sevierville off Veteran’s Parkway, BMM
B&B is a 10,000 square foot Victorian-style farmhouse that has a great
story to tell. Norman and Sarah Ball run the operation and have a vested
interest in the Smokies. That’s because her family has been here since the 1780’s
and his have been here just slightly more recently. You’ll see that the Balls’
want to share their knowledge and love for this area with everyone who stays
with them.

There are 12 rooms at the farm house, 5 cabins/cottages
and a 3 bedroom guest house and among them are bed-side Jacuzzis, fireplaces,
heirloom quilts, antique furniture and other unique features. They are located
on 60 acres and have the views for memorable weddings and church and business
retreats.

They can accommodate groups (including reunions and
retreats); have various vacation and wedding packages, have massage therapy
available, and offer some of the most spectacular views in the Smokies. So
maybe the next time you head to Sevier County, think about enjoying a quieter
pace at Blue Mountain Mist
Bed and Breakfast and Cottages.
