Dollywood’s New Autism Calming Room
Dollywood recently unveiled its new autism calming room which might help make your visit to the amusement park a little easier.
For guests with autism, it can be difficult to find a quiet, relaxing place to regroup, especially at a place like Dollywood where some guests may experience sensory overload. Dollywood partnered with Autism Speak to make sure the room had exactly what was needed, including a variety of sensory items specifically designed to help calm guests with autism.
This room is the first of its kind at any theme park in the world.

Dollywood aims to serve all of its guests with the best customer experience, especially guests who have any special needs for their day at the park. These are a few of the ways Dollywood can serve you if you have special requirements during your visit.
Wheelchair and ECV Rentals and Accessibility
Most of the Dollywood theme park is level or gently-rolling so wheelchairs can access the park. A limited number of wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) are available for rent at the park. For reservations of wheelchairs and ECVs,
With a disability license plate or hang tag, there is special disability parking available. For anyone using a wheelchair during your visit, Dollywood’s trams are also wheelchair accessible.
Dollywood provides a safe environment for all guests, and the Ride Accessibility Center is a great place for guests who need a little extra help getting through the lines. To enter attractions through the accessibility entrances, you’ll need to stop by the Ride Accessibility Center to pick up a Boarding Pass that will help you choose which rides are best for you and give you access to those particular rides. Special Dietary Needs
If you or your child has special dietary needs, Dollywood has a selection of options for you. The Backstage Restaurant is highly recommended for anyone with special dietary needs because the chefs can easily customize many of the menu items.
Of course, service animals are welcome at Dollywood on a leash or a harness, but they’re not permitted to participate in any of the attractions at the park.
