Dollywood Announces $300 Million Resort and Roller Coaster
Fans have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of Dolly Parton’s biggest secret. At 11a.m. on August 21, the country music icon announced that Dollywood in Pigeon Forge will undergo a 10-year $300 million expansion. The expansion will feature a 300-room DreamMore Resort as well as the nation’s first dual-launch roller coaster, FireChaser Express. While becoming an even more family friendly vacation destination, the expansion is projected to create 2,500 new jobs.
The DreamMore Resort is set to open in the summer of 2015. The 300-room resort will sit on 100 acres near Dollywood and Dolly’s Splash Country. DreamMore Resort will feature a wide variety of accommodations to meet the needs of every family. For guests planning a vacation to the Smoky Mountains, the resort will include an indoor and outdoor pool, a spa, meeting areas and a full-service restaurant. From the resort, guests will be able to experience stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains while relaxing with family and friends.
In spring 2014, visitors will be able to experience FireChaser Express, a brand-new family roller coaster. The nation’s first dual-launch coaster will launch twice, traveling forward and backward on the track. With the 39-inch height requirement, many young children will be able to experience their first roller coaster ride at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, a memory that will last forever.

I disagree, too much people in the mountains ruins it. You go there for nature, not a fun park!! This will be expensive you can bet on that.
