Dollywood has done it again with their innovate show offerings the Dollywood 2013 Spring Events Festival of Nations. The Smoky Mountains will get to taste the excitement brought from far away lands during Dollywood’s Festival of Nations, going on from March 23rd through April 22nd in the Smokies. The festival, presented by Humana, will feature acts from China, India, Ecuador, Germany, France, Mexico, Poland and Scotland. The traveling performers, dawned in their vibrant indigenous dress, will unite, fusing together music and dance with harmony and excitement in this interactive celebration.
The festival’s headliner, China’s Cirque Shanghai, is guaranteed to delight crowds of all ages. Their live top-notch acrobats will excite and astonish audiences with dramatic stunts, juggling, balancing acts, hoop diving and much more. Another act sure to enchant crowds is Mystic India, who bring Bollywood to Dollywood. These professional dancers in ornate costumes perform a high-energy show that is the perfect mix of lively dance, theater and special effects.
Other exciting performances include side-splitting clowns from the Ukraine, Los Pampas Gauchos, a traditional folk dancing family group from Argentina with a punch, Irish dancers, Mexican all-female Mariachi Divas and an a cappella act from Zambia.
Crowds will additionally be able to experience authentic cuisine from these countries during the Festival of Nations. They can sample an array of dishes with the World Passport to Food, as Dollywood delivers an expansive international menu. Some offerings will include traditional Mexican beef empanadas, Argentine steak and chimichurri sauce, Philippines’ fried rice and shredded chicken, and Irish Shepherd’s Pie.
