Since 1983, Alewine Pottery in Gatlinburg has been shaping ceramic wares that are both beautiful and functional. From sugar bowls to oil lamps, each Alewine piece is one of a kind and marked by the inspiration of the Smoky Mountains. Vibrant colors and foliage impressions make these pieces both intriguing and beautiful. The pottery store is definitely worth browsing, whether you’re searching for gifts for friends or a treasure of your own with bit of Gatlinburg etched into it.

In 1969, The Cheese Cupboard opened as the area’s premier cheese shop, selling cheeses, condiments, crackers and chocolates from as far away as Germany and Switzerland. Since then, Hofbrauhaus Restaurant has moved in upstairs, making this part cheese store, part German pub shop one of the most delicious stops of Gatlinburg shopping at The Village. Stop into The Cheese Cupboard for an old-fashioned Kosher dill pickle alongside Hofbrauhaus Restaurant’s Super Reuben – they’re local favorites.
