1. Taste of Autumn
In September, the city of Gatlinburg ushers in the fall season with a special culinary event. At Taste of Autumn, guests can enjoy samplings from some of the area’s finest restaurants at one convenient location. Attendees will also enjoy wonderful entertainment from a celebrity guest.
2. Fall Craftsmen’s Fair
October brings over 180 of the nation’s best artisans to the Gatlinburg Convention Center for the Fall Craftsmen’s Fair. Running for over two weeks, this fair is an incredible opportunity to see talented craftsmen demonstrate their trade. As visitors browse the handcrafted products for sale, they can tap their toes to live country, gospel, and bluegrass music.
3. Gatlinburg Festival of Trees
In late November, Gatlinburg starts to get into the holiday spirit with the Festival of Trees. The W.L. Mills Conference Room at the Gatlinburg Convention Center hosts a seemingly endless array of gorgeously decorated Christmas trees to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains.
4. Great Smoky Thanksgiving Arts & Crafts Show
If you’re in town for Turkey Day, be sure to stop by the Gatlinburg Convention Center for the Great Smoky Thanksgiving Arts & Crafts Show. The accomplished artisans from the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community will be on hand to answer questions, show off their skills, and sell their handmade wares.
5. Great Smoky Christmas Arts & Crafts Show
As November transitions to December, the Thanksgiving Arts & Crafts Show changes to the Christmas Arts & Crafts Show. This event is the perfect chance to get all of your holiday shopping done with a few weeks to spare!
6. Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage
The Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage is one of the most eagerly anticipated Gatlinburg Convention Center events. In April, visitors to Gatlinburg can enjoy over 150 programs that celebrate spring in the Smokies. All of the guided hikes and walks take place in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, while the workshops and lectures take place at the W.L. Mills Conference Room at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.
7. Great Smoky Easter Arts & Crafts Show
The artisans of the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community return to the Gatlinburg Convention Center in April for the Easter Arts & Crafts Show. Attendees will find an impressive selection of handcrafted items, including pottery, paintings, photography, wood carvings, baskets, quilts, jewelry, and so much more.
8. Family Fest in the Smokies
Fans of gospel music will love Family Fest in the Smokies! Organized by Christian music star Bill Gaither, this three day event in May will feature performances from some of the biggest names in the gospel genre.
9. Summer Craftsmen’s Fair
If you missed the Fall Craftsmen’s Fair, you will have the chance to see many of the same craftspeople at the Summer Craftsmen’s Fair in July. All of the artisans at the fair are approved by a jury of experts, so you can expect to find only the finest quality handmade products.
10. Tennessee Square and Round Dance Convention
Whether you’re a master of fancy footwork or you feel like you’ve got two left feet, you will love the Tennessee Square and Round Dance Convention! Experts and beginners alike will have the chance to dance the day away with a live band and over 60 callers, cuers, and lines instructors.
11. Gatlinburg Gathering
The Gatlinburg Gathering is another wonderful gospel music event in the Smokies. World famous speakers and artists will grace the Gatlinburg Convention Center for a weekend of fantastic music and uplifting preaching.
