Pancakes Anyone?

Blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries and maple syrup on white plateSizzling pancakes hot off the griddle is a common American fantasy, and this fantasy becomes reality in many of Tennessee’s breakfast restaurants. Whether you are a visitor to this state or a resident, you will enjoy sampling pancakes at some of Tennessee’s finest breakfast establishments. Restaurants in Gatlinburg, Sevierville and Pigeon Forge will be our focus in this deliciously syrup-filled pancake discussion.

Breakfast restaurants in Gatlinburg are numerous, but there are only a few that that provide pancakes with a heavenly taste. There is one pancake restaurant in Gatlinburg that consistently receives positive reviews from people who chow down and come back for more. Log Cabin Pancake House is appreciated by residents and visitors for its no-nonsense approach to hearty breakfast food. Pancakes, crepes and waffles with side orders of eggs, sausage and bacon are the foods served at this highly rated establishment. Two other pancake restaurants in Gatlinburg, Pancake Pantry and Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin, are moderately satisfying but do not have the extensive reputation of Log Cabin Pancake House.

The good news for people visiting Pigeon Forge is that Log Cabin Pancake House has a location there as well. However, if you are looking for a little more variety in your pancake selection, pancake restaurants in Pigeon Forge are numerous. Smokies Breakfast House serves the standard breakfast fare; pancakes, sausage, waffles and more. Likewise, another pancake restaurant to put on your list is Red Rooster Pancake House, a place that serves classical food in a farmhouse setting.

The last Tennessee town we’re visiting for some voracious pancake eating is Sevierville, and the area certainly does not disappoint. This town contains predictable pancake chains such as IHOP, and it has a few local breakfast joints as well. Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin has a location in Sevierville, and although it does not have top ratings, it has heaps of tasty pancakes and a certain local charm that will appeal to most visitors.

Whether you’re stopping by Pigeon Forge, Sevierville or Gatlinburg for some fresh country pancakes, you will not be disappointed by your selection. Tennessee is famous for its breakfast restaurants, and pancakes in this state are delicious and easy to acquire. We hope to see you at our favorite pancake joints, devouring a mighty stack of blueberry, chocolate chip or apple pancakes with a generous serving of syrup.
