About the New Smoky Mountain Coaster at Ober Gatlinburg

The mountain coaster starts at the tubing area and begins with a steady ride through the woods, along the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. After a calm ride to the top, riders experience the thrill of rushing down the side of the mountain with zips and turns that are sure to make every family member smile.

Unlike most coasters, this one lasts approximately 5 ½ minutes, and everyone in the family is able to ride. The attraction allows riders to choose their own speed as they zoom down the mountainside, so it’s comfortable for riders of all ages.

As with all Ober Gatlinburg rides, this one employs the absolute highest safety standards.
