1. Hollywood Star Cars Museum
The Hollywood Star Cars Museum displays some of the most famous vehicles from TV and movie history! This impressive collection features a number of cars that were designed by the legendary auto customizer George Barris, including the Batmobile from Adam West’s Batman, the Drag-U-La from The Munsters, the jalopy from The Beverly Hillbillies, and KITT from Knight Rider. When you visit the museum, you can watch a video of Barris explaining how he created these icons of the small screen.
In addition to the Barris-designed vehicles, the Hollywood Star Cars Museum houses the DeLorean from Back to the Future, the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard, “Eleanor” from Gone in 60 Seconds, and a number of cars from the Fast and the Furious franchise. Guests will also have the chance to see cars owned by Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney, Bob Hope, James Dean, and, of course, Dolly Parton. For an additional fee, you can even get your photo take behind the wheel of one of the famous cars!
2. Speedwerkz Exotic Car Museum
Speedwerkz is another awesome car museum near Gatlinburg TN. This unique attraction specializes in “exotic automobiles”, which are European sports cars that typically sell for well over $250,000. All of the cars in the collection are leased to the museum by private owners who want to show off their vehicles when they’re not being used.
When you visit Speedwerkz, one of the museum’s friendly and knowledgeable staff members will give you a personalized tour of all the luxury sports cars, which include Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and McLarens. Some of the cars in the collection are extremely rare and a few are literally one of a kind. The vehicles in the showroom are rotated out at least every 4 – 5 weeks, so you never know what you’re going to see during your visit. Speedwerkz is currently closed for the 2017 season, but it will open again in the spring of 2018.
3. Floyd Garrett’s Muscle Car Museum
Floyd Garrett’s Muscle Car Museum boasts one of the very best car collections in the United States!
