Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Winery Release Limited Edition Wines to Benefit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
In an effort to raise $10,000 to help the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and its black bears, a Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg winery have teamed up with local artists to develop two special wines that will help support the Appalachian Bear Rescue and the Friends of the Smokies organization.
A $5 donation will be made from every purchase of the limited edition wines. There will only be 1,000 bottles of each wine available, so you will want to visit and make your purchases as soon as possible this season!
Eagle Springs Winery in Pigeon Forge
The Eagle Springs Winery will debut ‘Cubby,’ an Italian-style red wine with a black bear label designed by G. Webb. The donation for each of these bottles of wine will benefit the Appalachian Bear Rescue which helps injured and orphaned black bears return to their natural habitat. The 1,000 bottles of ‘Cubby’ will be released on September 23.

Sugarland Cellars Winery in Gatlinburg
Sugarland Cellars Winery in Gatlinburg will be releasing ‘Autumn Path,’ a red muscadine wine with a label designed by local artist Robert A. Tino who has been a long-time supporter of the Friends of the Smokies. Visitors can purchase from the 1,000 bottles of ‘Autumn Path’ beginning on September 27.
For visitors who want to check out a Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg winery on their vacation, they should take a look at the Rocky Top Wine Trail. The wine trail is set up so visitors can experience a little bit of each winery, including free tastings as each location. Within 12 miles of the Smoky Mountains, there are 5 wineries that are part of the trail.
When you begin the trail, pick up your ‘passport’ at any winery location. Once you visit 3 of the wineries, you will receive a free wine glass souvenir. After visiting all 5 wineries, you will receive a free gift, too!
