About the My People Fund

Dolly Parton started the My People Fund to assist the Gatlinburg and Sevier County families, donating $1000 per month for up to 6 months to families whose homes were destroyed by the recent wildfires. This fund is set up to help these families get back on their feet.

Pray for the Smoky MountainsOver $1 million has already been raised for the fund, but the President of the Dollywood Foundation said he believes more donations will be required to fully meet the need of families in the area.

Anyone can donate to the My People Fund through the Dollywood Foundation website: https://dollywoodfoundation.org/. Donations are currently being accepted and will continue being accepted throughout and even after the telethon event.

It looks like a great lineup…too bad it is not being done LIVE from Gatlinburg!!! I think it would have greater visual impact and benefit the local businesses from the attendance.
