Lumber Ridge Hiking Trail

Lumber Ridge Hiking Trail located in the Cades Cove Area off of Laurel Creek Road the trail is 8.1 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 1524' with a strenuous difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. A quite wooded trail lined with flowering plants. An area that was at one time a base area for logging companies that has regrown filling in the forest growth since the logging agreement ended in 1941.
