Cove Mountain Hiking Trail

Cove Mountain Hiking Trail located in the Elkmont Area Area off of Little River Road the trail is 7.7 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 1776' with strenuous difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. Just about a third of the way along the trail you will pass by a 60' waterfall that cascades down a rocky mountainside. A little farther up the trail you will have views of Mt. LeConte through clearings of the deep forest areas that encompass the majority of the trail. Before you turn around you will have a chance to see one of the few remaining fire towers that is now used to monitor air quality of the Great Smoky Mountains.
